A bronze statuette depicts a relaxed-looking Zeus atop a cylindrical platform. The bearded figure is nude except for a piece of fabric draped over his left arm. In his right hand he holds a thunderbolt.

Information
This bronze statuette depicts the mythological Greek deity Zeus, god of justice, order, skies, and lightning. He is even depicted here holding a thunderbolt. The ancient Olympic Games, the most prominent of the four Panhellenic games, and the Nemean Games were both held in honor of Zeus.
At the time of photograph, this statuette was held at the Walters Art Museum.
